Dear RARE Science Community,

As an organization that cares deeply about our community, we believe it’s our duty to look after each other and those around us during challenging times such as these. RARE Science has been closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation and as an active member in our community support the CDC announcement to wear face coverings to protect others and yourself from potentially spreading Covid-19.  This is in addition to physical separation and staying six feet away from others as possible.

We have created a RARE Bear Army tips and tricks to make masks for your community wherever you are in the world.   We know these are not medical grade but can help the community we each live in saving the medical grade masks for those courageously on the frontline caring for patients.  For more information about the RBA effort to make masks please follow this link.

In addition, we continue to receive RARE Bear skin from all over the world and welcome the RBA to continue sending them along.  We hope to start micro- matching/shipping days soon and when appropriate.  For those of you ordering new feet and tag kits, there maybe a slight delay as we wait for supplies from Spoonflower who are doing amazing job in providing quality service along with protecting their employees with a safe work environment.

For those waiting for RARE Bears, they will come hopefully in Fall but until then please know they are all safely stored and eager to get home to you!

We know this is a challenging time for all and we are so grateful for the RBA commitment to RARE Bears and Masks, continuing to be a pillar in our communities.  In addition. a heartfelt thank you goes out to all of our community supporters generously supporting our efforts with materials and donations.

For any questions or to get involved, please contact us at info@staging.rarescience.org

Stay safe and well

All our best wishes
